Geophysical Overview of Meacham

Meacham's geographic boundaries cover an area equivalent to a half section of land.

Some of the surrounding soil base is alkaline, but the soil within the village itself is sufficient to support roads and infrastructure and can be developed for gardens.

The water supply is from a well (70 feet deep), which is tapped into an underground aquifer.

Meacham is surrounded by farm land and shares the climate and weather conditions of the central region of Saskatchewan. The village is situated in a shallow valley, protecting it slightly from wind, but leaving it prone to flooding during heavy rains or spring run off.
